This guide will show players where to find all eight of the secret totem statues in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. When you collect a statue, it will appear in front of the rock shrine in Inca Camina where the first statue is located below. Once you've collected all eight statues, your shrine will turn into a fully functioning altar, complete with worshippers. It's important to note that these statues can be a bit glitchy at times, and you may have trouble collecting some statues. When you take a totem statue, make sure the ghost game save icon appears in the lower corner to ensure the statue was properly collected. Read on to learn where to find all Totem Statue locations in Ghost Recon Wildlands.Update: All eight totem statues have now been found.
Players had speculated that these totem statues were somehow connected to finding the mysterious Yeti in the Andes mountains, but so far there does not seem to be any evidence to indicate this. If we discover further details on how to find the Yeti in Ghost Recon: Wildlands, we'll be sure to update our guides accordingly. Totem Statue locations in Ghost Recon Wildlands Totem Statue #1 © Ubisoft© UbisoftThe first statue can be found in the Inca Camina province of Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Use a helicopter to travel to the southeast side of the province, near the edge of the mountain range.
Land your helicopter on top the ridge indicated on the map above. You should see a large rock shrine surrounded by a circle of smaller rock piles at the top of the ridge. Look for a statue on the ground nearby the shrine and approach the statue to take it. If you can’t interact with the statue, you’ll have to quit the game entirely and launch it again. The statue should be there when you return after reloading the game. Totem Statue #2 © Ubisoft © UbisoftAnother statue can be found on the opposite side of the Inca Camina province in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Use your helicopter to travel to the Nevado Llamiru mountain range on the southwest side of Inca Camina. While in your helicopter, fly to the area marked on the map above and look for a tall, rocky peak. Get out and climb to the top of the summit.

A totem statue will be sitting in the snow for you to grab. Totem Statue #3 © Ubisoft© UbisoftThe next secret totem statue in Ghost Recon: Wildlands is found in the southernmost part of the Koani province. Head to the hilly terrain just south of the road. At the location indicated on the map image above, there will be a statue at the top of a rocky peak. Climb up the rocks and take the statue found at the top.
Totem Statue #4 © Ubisoft© UbisoftFor the fourth totem statue, head to the San Mateo province in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Travel by helicopter if you can, and locate the industrial area in the north part of the province. Set down your helicopter atop a rocky pillar indicated on the map image above. There will be some difficult enemies in the canyon down below, but the height of the pillar will keep you safe. Once you are on top the crest of the pillar, walk toward the edge to find the next totem statue. Totem Statue #5 © Ubisoft© UbisoftThe next totem statue in Ghost Recon: Wildlands is located in the northern section of the Villa Verde province.
Take your trusty helicopter and travel to Villa Verde. Locate a waterfall at the northern tip of a lake along the northwest border of the province. The totem statue is on a ledge near the middle of the waterfall.Set down your chopper along the river bank. While facing the waterfall, climb up the rocks on the right side and look for a path made from a fallen log. Walk across the log and onto the rocks just to the left.
At the edge of the rocks, you will find another totem statue looking out over the water. Interact with the statue to take it, and try not to fall. Totem Statue #6 © Ubisoft© UbisoftThe sixth totem statue in Ghost Recon: Wildlands is found along the northeast border of the Libertad province. Use your helicopter to travel to the mountaintop indicated on the map image above. Set the helicopter down on the top of the peak. Look for the totem statue near the edge of one of the rocky outcroppings.
Totem Statue #7 © Ubisoft© UbisoftTo find the seventh totem statue, you must head to the Malca province in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. This one will be located just outside a small basin near the center of the province, to the west of several industrial buildings. When you reach the basin, you should see a small body of water surrounded by a few light purple trees. The totem statue will be on top of a rock at the inlet of the pond. Run up and take the totem statue to add it to your collection. Totem Statue #8 © Ubisoft© UbisoftThe final totem statue is located in the province P.N. De Agua Verde. Travel to the eastern section of the province and head to the shoreline to the south of the safe house.
As usual, the most efficient way to travel is by helicopter. Set down your chopper near the location marked on the image above. Search the shallow pool of water nearby to find the last totem statue. It should be sitting beside a white square box in the ground.Once you've collected all eight totem statues in Ghost Recon: Wildlands, return to the rock shrine in Inca Camina where you found Totem Statue #1. Each small rock pile should now have a totem statue in front of it, and you will start to see worshippers praying at the newly formed altar. Now that you know where to find all of the totem statues in Ghost Recon: Wildlands, you can move on to finding the next.

Overgrown idols are statues present on Karamja and Anachronia, covered in light, medium and dense jungle vines. All eight sets of medium and dense vines around it in the inner ring must be chopped before being able to chop the idol. Level 81 Woodcutting is required to chop all the vines and the idol. Idols provide a leisurely method of training Woodcutting, unlike using Crystallise and Light Form which require attention every few seconds which can provide around 90,000 experience an hour with a dragon hatchet.
In order to reach the full potential of the boost the player must chop a total of 4 successful chops from the start all the way until the idol has been cleared. If no successful chops were done on the idol or if the player only successfully chops 3 times while reaching the idol they will only receive a partial potential boost.
A full potential boost is 15 minutes (4+ successful chops including an attempt on the idol), a partial potential boost is 5 minutes (3- successful chops or 4 successful chops and no attempt on the idol). In order to reach the buff a minimum of 125 successful chops have to be performed (1 light, 4 medium, 4 dense, 1 idol). A light density vine has 5 hardness which requires 5 successful chops in order to be taken down, a medium has 10, dense is 15 and the idol is 20.
A helpful tip is to chop only one light jungle vine required to access the interior vines. Once the idol has been chopped down the players should return to the remaining light vines rather than standing around waiting for the idol to respawn.
If the idol is left too long the vines will reset, forcing the player away from the idol.
- 1Getting there
Getting there[edit | edit source]
Karamja[edit | edit source]
An idol can be found south-west of the Shipyard entrance and another north of the Jadinko Lair.
The fastest way to navigate to the idols is to tune the PrifddinasMax Guild garden portal to 'Overgrown Idols'. Players may enter the garden if they have level 99 in at least one skill or are able to wear the quest point cape. The same portal teleports players interchangeably between the two idols present in Karamja.
Alternate means of transportation:
- Gnome Glider to Gandius, takes the player very close to the first idol
- Juju teleport spiritbag, takes the player close to the second idol
- Max Guild teleport to the Jadinko lair, the second idol is close to the entrance
- Fairy ring code DKP (near the Shaikahan), takes the player relatively close to the first idol
- Using the Nature's sentinel outfit teleport option (option 6 on the second page of locations)
Anachronia[edit | edit source]
Two idols can be found on Anachronia, east of the liverworts. While chopping, a player may rarely obtain compacted wood or compacted leaves, a resource used in upgrading the Anachronia base camp. Clearing either of the two idols for the first time awards the player the Totem of Navigation base.
Boosts[edit | edit source]
It is not necessary to clear all vines to reach the idol. Only one light vine needs to be cut to reach the inner ring, and only the inner ring of medium and dense vines needs to be cleared. Idols may give strange rocks and golden rocks. Like other trees, chopping vines may drop a bird's nest.
Once an idol has been chopped, one of five Woodcutting boosts will be granted, lasting 5 minutes(partial potential boost) or 15 minutes(full potential boost):
- Double cut rate (2 ticks instead of the standard 4 ticks)
- 10% increase to woodcutting success chance
- 10% chance to get double logs (or cut twice on ivy/vines/crystal)
- 5% XP boost
- Log auto-banking
Investigating a cleared overgrown idol in Karamja awards The End of Gara-Dul journal which completes the Meeting your Idols achievement which is a requirement for master quest cape.

The idol remains cleared for about 2 minutes and 24 seconds before the vines grow back.
Achievement[edit | edit source]
- Meeting your Idols ( 5) – Investigate an overgrown Karamjan idol to discover an ancient tale.
Update history[edit | edit source]
The update history project is a work-in-progress – not all updates to this topic may be covered below. See here for how to help out!
- patch2 December 2019 (Update):
- If you destroy the book 'The End of Gara-Dul' and chop the idol in Karamja the achievement no longer triggers and no extra runescore is given.
